    The primary differences among the ResoNix CLD products lie in the thickness of their aluminum constraining layers and butyl rubber layers, which affect their performance and ease of installation. The Mega CLD Squares feature a 12 mil (0.012 inches) aluminum layer and a 120 mil (0.120 inches) butyl layer. They are the highest performing CLD available, with a Composite Loss Factor of 0.64 at 200 Hz. However, the thicker aluminum makes them stiffer and potentially difficult to work with on surfaces with complex curves.
    The CLD Squares have a 4 mil (0.004 inches) aluminum layer paired with the same 120 mil butyl layer as the Mega version. They boast a CLF of 0.6 at 200 Hz, which is higher than any other product on the market except for the Mega CLD Squares. They strike a balance between high performance, ease of installation, excellent value, while remaining relatively easy to work with even on curved surfaces.
    The Lite CLD Rectangles come with a thinner 3 mil (0.003 inches) aluminum layer and a 45 mil (0.045 inches) butyl layer. While they have a lower damping performance compared to the CLD Squares and Mega CLD Squares, they are the easiest to handle and install, especially on intricate surfaces. All three products utilize the same high-quality butyl formula and aluminum type, ensuring consistent material reliability across the range.

If our product fails, such as melting inside your vehicle, we will even cover the costs to repair any resulting damages.
