STEG SQ32 32mm High-End Fabric Dome Tweeter
The STEG SQ32 is a 32mm fabric dome tweeter designed for high-end car audio systems. Its large Tetolon dome, double-layer voice coil, neodymium magnet, and low-viscosity ferrofluid are intended to provide smooth, detailed high-frequency reproduction with a natural tonal balance.
Its relatively low 1,100Hz resonance frequency gives system designers greater flexibility when integrating it with a midrange driver. This makes the SQ32 well suited for active DSP-controlled systems and custom multi-way installations where precise crossover control is available.
32mm Tetolon Fabric Dome
The 32mm Tetolon fabric dome provides a larger radiating surface than a typical compact tweeter. This helps the SQ32 maintain strong output and controlled performance lower in its operating range while retaining the smooth character commonly associated with fabric dome designs.
Motor and Voice Coil Design
The SQ32 uses a double-layer wound voice coil and a high-density neodymium magnet. Low-viscosity ferrofluid assists with voice coil control and thermal management during extended listening sessions.
Together, these components allow the tweeter to reproduce high-frequency detail accurately without sounding unnecessarily sharp or aggressive.
Low Resonance Frequency
With a resonance frequency of 1,100Hz, the SQ32 offers useful crossover flexibility when properly installed and tuned. The appropriate crossover point and slope will depend on the installation, listening level, system design, and manufacturer recommendations.
Aluminum Housing and Protective Grille
The tweeter is housed in a polished aluminum enclosure and includes a hexagonal protective grille. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for custom sail panel, A-pillar, dash, and other vehicle-specific installations where space is limited.
