SEPTEMBER 2026 · PETROS FLOROS
“We fit a GUS-12 entirely hidden in the side panel, in a 0.45 cubic foot enclosure that plays flat to 10 Hz.”
Our customer Petros Floros wanted to have the best sound possible, but not be able to see anything. we started off by 3D scanning the entire rear of the car, as well as the dash and pillars. from there, we designed a custom enclosure, amp rack, midrange mounts, tweeter waveguide, and fuse solutions for the vehicle. using in house laser cutters, 3d printers, and cnc machines, we manufactured all components for the installation.
We wanted the best possible environment for our speakers so we used the ResoNix suite of products. i am a big believer in spending dollars on treatment before spending pennie’s on equipment in most cars. this became especially true in this system, because our friend petros started off with a more modest system, suing Helix Ci7 midranges the tweeters. he later upgraded to the Accuton midranges and tweeters. then, in another large jump, we are now replacing his helix ci5 midbasses with Accuton’s, and adding a new ResoNix GUS 10 front subwoofer. throughout these upgrades, one thing didn’t change, the treatment. we did it right the first time, so even the most detailed and lowest distortion speakers in the world are very happy in this environment.
One large priority of ours is serviceability. every component in this vehicle uses quality connectors, and is designed to be easily returned to stock, even without our help. the amplifier rack and be unplugged and removed from the vehicle in 15 minutes. even less with the subwoofer enclosure on the other side of the trunk.
One massive challenge on this install was the rear subwoofer installation. Petros did not want anything intruding into his truck space, but also did not want anything going under the floor. our only option was to cram a subwoofer in the side panel in a small box. in the past, we would be limited to a slim low power 10 inch subwoofer with mediocre performance. this is where the ResoNix GUS subwoofers change everything. we fit a GUS-12 entirely hidden in the side panel, in a previously unheard of small 0.45 cubic foot enclosure. this enclosure was cnc cut to fit around the large crash structure that seppartes the under floor areas and the side cubby. this enclosure is just barely larger than the basket of the subwoofer. the result? a subwoofer that plate FLAT TO 10HZ, with authority throughout the entire passband, with incredibly low distortion, great linearity, and zero motor noise!!!
We designed a 3d printed hideaway Helix Conductor Pro mount in the center console, as well as easily removable panels in the rear to see both the amplifiers and the subwoofer without restriction. The system is completely oem integrated using high level inputs, and runs via usb perfect stream to a phone.
We are very excited to see what the new GUS-10 front subwoofer and Accuton midbass drivers will do to the system. a quick preliminary listen to the Accuton midbass drivers shows immediate improvements to transient response and upper lower midrange frequencies..

Giving Back
ResoNix looks out for its own. A few of the fundraisers our community has rallied behind.
When our friend and incoming ResoNix warehouse manager, Matt, lost his home, belongings, and beloved cat Odin in a devastating house fire, the ResoNix community came together to help. A fundraiser was organized to support Matt and his family with immediate expenses, veterinary care, temporary housing, and the difficult process of rebuilding after the loss.
Fundraiser note: The GoFundMe was temporarily paused after the page mentioned an offer to provide ResoNix customers with 2x store credit for their donations, which was not permitted under GoFundMe’s rules. The offer was removed from the GoFundMe page so the fundraiser could be reactivated, but it remained actively shared and promoted through ResoNix Facebook groups and community forums.
When Ian Brandon was diagnosed with advanced liver damage caused by a rare and aggressive form of Hepatitis C, he faced an urgent treatment plan with significant medication costs, medical expenses, and unpaid time away from work.
ResoNix rallied behind Ian by running a fundraiser sale, donating 7% of purchases when customers used a 7% discount code or 15% when customers chose to waive their discount, with proceeds going toward Ian’s treatment and GoFundMe campaign.
When longtime friend and elementary-school teacher Jon Koch competed in the 2025 America’s Favorite Teacher competition, the ResoNix community rallied behind him in a big way. Customers donated roughly $50,000, with ResoNix offering $2 in store credit for every $1 donated and matching those donations with another roughly $50,000, bringing the community’s total contribution to around $100,000 and helping Jon ultimately win the national competition.
Jon himself is an elementary-school teacher in Newark, NJ. Winning got him $25,000, a trip to Hawaii, a Reader’s Digest feature, and a school assembly for the teachers and students with Bill Nye. The campaign also supported The Planetary Society’s work in science and space education while bringing additional attention to Hoods to Woods, which helps underserved youth experience snowboarding and the outdoors.

Every vehicle and goal set is different. Start with our sound deadening buyer’s guide to understand what each material does and where to use it. If you want a tailored plan, book our sound system design and installation consultation.
To help offset the cost, up to 40% of the consultation fee can be credited toward ResoNix product purchases made within 30 days.
Most people ask this because they are not sure what physically fits. Fitment varies by vehicle, trim, and where you plan to install it. Check available depth carefully and avoid interfering with moving parts, window tracks, airbags, and service access. As a general rule, choose the thickest that comfortably fits the space. See the product page for details.
We are building an ongoing fitment sheet from customer confirmations. If you can share what fit in your vehicle, please let us know to help others.
If an item is on backorder, the estimated restock date appears on its product page and is updated as we get new information.
Domestic orders that include a backordered item will ship in two parts: in‑stock items ship immediately, and the backordered items ship as soon as they arrive. For international orders, we currently ship when all items are in stock.
You will receive an order confirmation by email, then a tracking email once your order ships. If you need an update or anything looks off contact us with your order number.
We recommend high‑quality, proven DSPs matched to your system design and goals. If you want a custom recommendation, book our sound system design and installation consultation.
