When we rely on our doors for the majority of our music, we need to control structure-borne resonance, air-borne resonance, noise, gasketing, and rattle mitigation. Deadener is what most of us start with, but too many people just stop there. The journey has just begun. Sound absorption is a requirement, not a suggestion, and this kit does that with Guardian and Fibermat. Noise isolation is important so we can hear musical details, we want to minimize road noise. Guardian is one step, Barrier is the other. Full coverage of Guardian is the goal. Barrier is perfect for closing up the door openings. Gasketing a speaker to the door panel is vital. The door panel is the front of the speaker baffle. And the gasketing in this kit is ideal. Minimizing buzzes and rattles is necessary so you only hear the music you've worked so hard to get. CCF is handy here, so you gasket every hard surface contact. When you add any wiring, wrap with the wiring tape to keep it silent and tidy. Butyl rope is another useful tool in your door panel, where you cannot physically separate two surfaces because they are plastic molded."
