The STEG Q4C is a compact two-way coaxial speaker designed for installations where a separate midrange and tweeter may not be practical. It combines a specially coated aluminum cone with a centrally mounted titanium-dome tweeter and waveguide.
Placing both drivers on the same acoustic axis allows the Q4C to reproduce the midrange and high frequencies from a single speaker location. This makes it useful for OEM locations, compact custom installations, and systems where speaker placement options are limited.
Coated Aluminum Cone
The 3-inch aluminum cone provides a lightweight and rigid radiating surface for clear midrange reproduction. It is supported by a vented aluminum basket that maintains a compact overall footprint while providing a solid mounting structure.
Titanium-Dome Tweeter and Waveguide
A titanium-dome tweeter is mounted at the center of the midrange cone. Its integrated waveguide helps control the tweeter’s output and its transition into the midrange driver.
The Q4C uses an external crossover, allowing the two-way speaker system to be properly filtered for the installation.
Compact Installation
With a 96mm (3.78") outer diameter, 81mm cutout diameter, and 34mm mounting depth, the Q4C can fit into many locations that cannot accommodate a larger conventional component system.
Its 95dB sensitivity also makes efficient use of the available amplifier power.
