The Micro Precision 3.16 MKII is a 6.5-inch midbass driver designed for two-way and three-way automotive audio systems. It features a rigid aluminum cone and a vented anodized aluminum voice coil, providing a lightweight and controlled design for midbass and midrange reproduction.

Aluminum Cone

The 3.16 MKII uses an aluminum cone with a geometry designed to control unwanted resonances through the midrange. This allows the driver to cover a broad operating range while maintaining clear and controlled reproduction.

Its combination of cone rigidity and relatively low moving mass makes it suitable for systems where both midbass impact and midrange detail are important.

Vented Aluminum Voice Coil

The driver uses Micro Precision’s vented 5+1 voice coil made from anodized aluminum. This lightweight voice coil complements the aluminum cone while ventilation assists with heat management during operation.

Compact Installation

The 3.16 MKII has a 145mm cutout diameter and a 64.2mm mounting depth, allowing it to fit many standard 6.5-inch automotive speaker locations.
