High-definition streaming with maximum flexibility

       The HELIX BT HD STREAMER combines modern high-definition audio streaming with extraordinary practical benefits. Thanks to its optical output, it can be conveniently connected to DSPs and DSP amplifiers as part of a completely digital, lossless signal routing. In addition, we implemented a digital input with pass-through function: this allows the incoming signal to be forwarded directly to the optical output and guarantees optimum flexibility without losing this digital signal way – ideal for audio setups including the integration of an additional digital audio player. Thanks to its standby mode, the streamer provides audio enjoyment, particularly in vehicles with a special demand for comfort and efficiency as well as smart retrofit solutions. This makes it especially advantageous in motorhomes and campers as well as classic cars without a modern head unit.

Our BT HD STREAMER supports the regular Qualcomm^® aptX™ codec as well, assuring improved audio quality even for users of older devices with Bluetooth^® wireless technology. Last but not least, we also implemented the Bluetooth^® codec AAC, which is specially optimized for Apple users. This codec ensures high-quality audio transmission for devices from the Apple ecosystem, offering iPhone and iPad users outstanding music enjoyment.

Efficiency and convenience: The standby mode

       Modern streaming is characterized by user-friendliness and convenience at the highest level. In line to this, it was essential for us to implement a standby mode in our streamer: The standby mode is activated via a simple switch, putting the HELIX BT HD STREAMER into an energy-saving mode with just 3mA power consumption. As soon as a smartphone connection to the streamer is established, it “awakens” and generates a remote signal, which in turn switches on the entire sound system. This seamless transition ensures convenient music enjoyment without having to turn on the ignition while at the same time preserving the vehicle battery, offering particular advantages in classic cars without a head unit or in campers and motorhomes.

Optional hands-free function: communication made easy

       The integration of the optional hands-free function clearly sets the HELIX BT HD STREAMER apart from other Bluetooth® streaming devices on the market. With the separately available Microphone Kit, the streamer transforms your vehicle into a modern communication center – even without a head unit.
Here, especially the Echo Cancelling and Noise Suppression technologies of the STREAMER come into play:

• Noise Suppression (Noise Cancelling): The algorithm in the BT chip of the HELIX BT HD STREAMERS filters out background noises such as vehicle sounds and road noise, enabling clear communication during driving.
• Echo Suppression: This function prevents echoes during the conversation by minimizing the audio feedback between the speaker and the microphone, improving the quality of the conversation.
• Voice Enhancement: This optimizes the driver’s voice recording by improving the clarity and intelligibility of the voice and reducing background noise. In addition, the automatic volume correction adjusts differences in conversation volume, making even distant persons easily understandable.
