The Planet Waves Solderless Custom RCA Cable System is exactly what we have been using at ResoNix Sound Solutions for some time now. These allow you to cut your RCA cables to size, and install the connectors easily by simply cutting the cable, adding the head to the end, and screwing down a small flat-head set screw. Your cables can be made in less than 30 seconds. No need to break out the solder station, magnifying glass, and helping-hands and spending 10 minutes just to strip a few small wires and solder on two RCA ends. These cables are as easy as it comes.
The custom RCA cable is standard 75-ohm coaxial cable, but still has plenty of flexibility to use in automotive installations. They look clean and sleek and are not stiff and bulky like most high-end cables are. The cable comes as a side-by side pair design, so just like normal RCA’s, they act as a pair. That said, they are easy to split if you are doing custom wiring work. The Planet Waves system features side-by-side 2-channel RCA cable, Silver Male RCA Connector, Black Chrome Male RCA Connector, an RCA Y-Splitter, Silver Female RCA Connector, and the Silver Right Angle RCA Connector.
All of the connectors feature the same easy way of establishing the connection and securing the connector to the cable. It’s as simple as loosening and then tightening a flathead screw.
We have been using these RCA’s exclusively at ResoNix Sound Solutions in every sound system we have installed since early 2022. To date there has had not a single failure, and any issues of induced noise from our previous RCA cable of choice, while not often, seemed to completely disappear. The Planet Waves Solderless RCA Cable Y Splitter is perfect to use in two very common situations. First, when using a single DSP channel going into a mono amplifier that requires both inputs to be used. The
second would be when using a single output out of a DSP that is feeding signal to a set of bridged amplifier channels that require both RCA inputs to be used.

"I love these customizable rca cables. They solve almost every problem with my prior rca cables. You can reuse the ends,keep cable for shorter lengths. I have experienced no noise issues yet! And I know Planet Waves makes outstanding products and cables from pro audio use. I won’t use anything else now. Best investment next to Resonix sound deadening Ive found in a ling time. No soldering. They need to be pushed into the inputs with a little extra force until they click on. Then they ade good to go."

"I got these because of the simplicity of making the perfect length and able to reuse the ends. Well at first I had this problem they were loose when I plugged them into my amps. I contacted Resonix. Guess what people, click into the amp. You just have to push them in with a little more force. And then they will not come out unless you pull them out. No noise problems. No problems with these at all. SQ is as or better than a bigger brands top cables which are the same price as these. I knew they were quality because I’m very familiar with Planet Waves cables. From the guitar,pro audio cables I’ve used over the years and used to sell. I will only use these in all audio projects from now on. Make sure you cut the cord with the cutters to make sure you have a clean cut and connection. And make sure you push them into the amp with more force than normal, you will feel them click in. They are also very easy to mold to a shape for installs, I knew I would fall in love with these cables. You will love them!"
"This was originally going to be a temporary solution for me. I ended up using them in a couple of different installs now and I really like how simple they are to use. It makes running the wires through right spaces a breeze without worrying about damaging your ends. The only thing I can really nitpick about them is the screws are easy to damage if you aren't careful or use the wrong size screw driver. However, I attribute that to user error and learning curve."
"This entire solderless RCA system is a no brainer. If you're still buying long RCA's and using countless zip ties, your doing it wrong. This system gives you flexibility to use whatever length you need to and makes your install extremely clean. This company has taken car audio to new heights, and I am excited to see what they have to offer in the future. Watch the YouTube on this system where Nick does multiple cuts on the RCA cable and uses the same RCA fittings and nothing changes on the multi meter.
