Description
ResoNix Rope is a butyl formula meant for a constrained layer damper, but extruded into a rope. It is a slightly different formula than what our Squares and Rectangles use due to butyl rope needing to handle many tasks.
ResoNix Rope uses range from use as a decoupler between doors and baffles and to make an airtight seal, or inside of doors between the outer door skin and impact beams to create a constrained layer damping system using the impact beam as the constraining layer and the butyl rope as the viscoelastic layer, to providing an adhesive on small panels to prevent vibration/rattles, and many more.
This product should be used in addition to CLD and CCF. It’s a very quick, easy, and inexpensive tool to use that is a jack of all trades, from decoupling to constraining as mentioned above.
